1 day before the examination, a light diet is recommended, avoiding foods that produce gas (beans, peas, cabbage, raw fruits, carbonated drinks, fatty dairy products). In some cases, the doctor may recommend taking a mild laxative or a micro-enema the previous evening to eliminate intestinal gases that can reduce image quality. Fasting is not necessary, unless otherwise specified. Wear loose clothing, without zippers, metal fasteners, belts, metal buttons in the pelvic area. Before the X-ray, you will be asked to remove jewelry, watch, phone and any metal object. For women: Inform the radiological staff if there is suspicion of pregnancy. The examination is avoided during pregnancy, unless strictly necessary and with adequate protection. Chronic treatment can be continued normally. No special hydration or rest is required after the procedure.
