ALEX 3 IgE - Allergen Screening of 300 allergens

2500.00 MDL

We remind you that independent interpretation of the results is unacceptable, the information provided below is for reference purposes only.

ALEX 3 (Allergy Xplorer) is an advanced multiplex allergy test designed for the simultaneous assessment of sensitization through the determination of specific IgE (sIgE) and total IgE (tIgE), providing a comprehensive and integrated analysis of an individual’s allergic profile.

The test enables the investigation of a broad spectrum of clinically relevant allergens, covering the main sources of food, respiratory, and environmental allergic reactions.

Components

  • Food allergen panel - includes major food sources of allergic reactions such as milk, eggs, fish, seafood, peanuts, nuts, soy, cereals, and other commonly consumed foods.
  • Respiratory (inhalant) allergen panel - includes tree, grass, and weed pollens, house dust mites, and moulds, frequently associated with allergic rhinitis and asthma.
  • Environmental allergen panel - includes indoor and outdoor environmental allergens such as animal dander and other common sources of everyday allergen exposure.
  • Molecular allergen panel - includes individual allergen components that allow precise identification of the sensitization source and assessment of associated clinical risk.

The test includes a total of 300 allergens, structured into 218 molecular allergens and 82 allergen extracts, including 107 unique molecular components, providing one of the most detailed assessments of allergic sensitization currently available.

The integration of allergen extracts and molecular components enables a complete, multi-layered evaluation of the immune response, supporting precise and clinically meaningful interpretation of results.

Indications

  • symptoms of allergic reactions: runny nose, nasal congestion, sneezing, watery eyes
  • skin manifestations: itching, rashes, urticaria, dermatitis
  • cough, breathing difficulties, suspected allergic rhinitis or asthma
  • suspected food or inhalant allergy
  • identification of allergy-triggering factors
  • comprehensive diagnosis of allergic conditions in children and adults

Procedure

The analysis requires a venous blood sample collected under standard safety conditions by qualified medical personnel. The procedure takes only a few minutes and is generally well tolerated.

The sample is processed in a specialized laboratory using advanced multiplex technology, enabling simultaneous determination of specific IgE (sIgE) to a large number of allergens as well as total IgE (tIgE).

The method offers high sensitivity, allowing detection of even low levels of sensitization and providing a detailed immunological profile of the patient.

The results help physicians identify potential allergy triggers, assess clinical risk, clarify cross-reactivities, and establish an individualized treatment and prevention strategy.

After the procedure, the patient can immediately resume normal activities without restrictions.

IMPORTANT!

It is crucial to remember that the information provided in this section is not intended for self-diagnosis or self-treatment. If you experience any pain or worsening of symptoms, it is essential to consult a healthcare professional for proper diagnosis and treatment. Only a qualified specialist can accurately diagnose and determine the appropriate course of action. To ensure the most accurate and consistent evaluation of test results, it is recommended to have them performed at the same laboratory. This is because different laboratories may use varying methods and units of measurement for similar tests.

Preparation:

  • Blood sampling is preferably performed in the morning; strict fasting is not mandatory, however it is recommended to avoid heavy meals before testing.
  • Testing is not recommended during systemic glucocorticoid therapy, as it may affect immunoglobulin levels.
  • Antihistamine medication does not affect the test results and does not require discontinuation.
  • It is recommended to avoid intense physical activity and alcohol consumption for 24 hours before testing.
  • In cases of acute infections or severe allergic exacerbations, results should be interpreted in the context of the patient’s clinical condition.
