For adults: an ID document, passport, or driving licence.
For minors: a birth certificate or passport.
The release of results at the Invitro reception/registry desk is possible only upon presentation of one of the following documents: the examination form; an identity document (ID card); a birth certificate (for minors).
It is not possible to expedite the tests.
Sampling is carried out only in Chișinău, at the laboratories located at 19/1 Testemițanu St. and 64/2 Albișoara St., according to a specific schedule.
A complete blood count (CBC) and ESR can be performed from capillary blood.
For testing, a sufficient volume of blood must be collected, especially if several tests are intended to be performed from a single tube. Finger-prick blood collection does not provide the required sample volume. In addition, with finger-prick collection, some cells may break down and clots may form, which makes blood testing more difficult.
The paternity test can be performed by prior appointment. This service is available at 3 branches:
Chișinău, Albișoara St., 64/2
Chișinău, Testemițanu St., 19/1
Bălți, Decebal St., 126
The test is performed between the alleged father and the child. Original identity documents are required for the father, the child, and the mother, and the appropriate preparation must be followed.
For more details, please contact the Call Center department.
At present, test results are issued only in Romanian. The exceptions are ALEX Test, FOX Test, and Prenatest.
The maximum timeframe for issuing the results is indicated on the examination form received at the Invitro reception desk. In addition, the timeframe for each investigation is displayed on the online platform.

Yes, a home visit is possible with an appointment in advance. You can place a call-out request or contact our Call Center. Payment for home sample collection/tests is made online only.
You do not necessarily need a doctor’s referral to have laboratory tests done, but you need to know which tests you want to take, or you can choose a test package.
We recommend you to book an appointment with a general practitioner/therapist, who can prescribe the treatment or guide you to another specialist.
At Invitro, you can benefit from medical services covered by GraweCarat, Donaris, MoldAsig, Astera, and Intact. To confirm whether tests can be paid for through these insurance policies, you must present medical complaints/symptoms confirmed by a doctor and coordinated with the insurance company.
Test results are stored for 6 months. They can be collected at the reception desk upon presentation of the beneficiary’s ID document. If more than 6 months have passed, please confirm availability at the reception desk or by calling our Call Center.
Preparation for children’s tests is the same as for adults. The exception is infants. If you are breastfeeding and venous blood is to be collected, it is recommended not to feed the baby for 2–3 hours before the draw.
Hematomas can occur due to individual body characteristics. Possible causes include deep veins, fragile blood vessels, or thin skin. A bruise does not pose any health risk.
Bruising cannot be completely avoided. Applying firm pressure with a finger on the puncture site using your other hand for a few minutes may help minimize the risk. The adhesive bandage should be removed within 30 minutes. After the blood draw, try to keep your arm relaxed and avoid physical activity for a few hours.
We specify the maximum processing time for laboratory tests, but this does not rule out the possibility that the results may be ready earlier. The turnaround time depends on the laboratory’s availability, especially on the test kits and analyzers used for testing. We aim to enter the results as quickly as possible and notify you by email when they are ready.
Yes, the results can be collected by a person who presents the receipt with the order number and the examination form.
Each laboratory uses different test kits and reagents, laboratory equipment, units of measurement (mmol/L, ng/ml), as well as diagnostic methods and techniques (manual or automated, PCR or real-time PCR, ELISA or ECL, and whether blood was collected from a vein or a finger), which can significantly affect the results obtained. Therefore, laboratories use different reference ranges indicated on the test reports. In addition, most biological parameters of the human body change continuously and depend on many factors: time of day, diet, climate changes, dietary irregularities, stress, physical activity, and medication use. Some tests performed even just a few hours apart may produce different results.
At Invitro, the packaging, storage, and transportation of biomaterials are carried out in accordance with all regulatory requirements, which prevents any changes in their stability and does not affect the accuracy and reliability of the results.
The cost of sample collection (the materials and equipment needed to collect biomaterial) is not included in the total cost because multiple tests can be performed from a single sample, and the biomaterial collection is paid as a one-time fee.
General health can be assessed through basic blood and urine tests, as well as with the help of various medical specialists. You can also take advantage of discounted health packages for different categories of people.
It is not possible to have tests taken anonymously, but they are performed confidentially.
Yes. In addition to the international professional certifications obtained on its own initiative, the Invitro laboratory holds national accreditation from the Republican Center for External Quality Control of Laboratory Research (biochemistry, serology, and hematology programs). The network of centers also holds Accreditation Certificate No. 0736 dated June 26, 2020, issued by the National Council for Evaluation and Accreditation in the Health System and the Ministry of Health.
No, at the Invitro laboratory we do not collect samples or perform tests for animals.
For all medical examinations, except laboratory tests, an appointment is required in advance.
A doctor’s referral is required if you wish to undergo:
Mammography;
CT scan (tomography);
X-ray;
Cardiology examinations;
Spirometry with a bronchodilator test.
Ultrasound is a completely harmless examination and can be performed as often as necessary or as recommended by a specialist.
The USG specialist performs only the examination and describes the results in the medical conclusion/report. Based on this conclusion, the specialist doctor can prescribe the necessary treatment after a personal consultation.
Ultrasound can also be performed for preventive purposes, without a doctor’s referral being mandatory.
For preventive purposes, a mammogram is recommended once every two years for women aged 40–50. From the age of 50, it is recommended annually. If you are under 40, you need a referral from a specialist.
A mammogram is recommended without a doctor’s referral if you are over the age of 40. Otherwise, you need a referral from a breast specialist (mammologist).
The appropriate time for a mammogram is days 7–14 of the menstrual cycle. The optimal day is day 10. Counting starts from the first day of menstruation. During the second week, the breast is less sensitive and less dense, which helps achieve a high-quality examination. If your cycle is irregular or you are in menopause, the mammogram can be done on any day. On the day of the examination, it is recommended not to use deodorants, creams, or other skin-care products that may affect the result.
A mammogram can also be performed if you have a breast implant.
At Invitro, the CT result comes with a written report and is provided on a CD.
At Invitro, CT scans are performed from the age of 7.
When you come for the CT scan, please bring your ID card (or another valid identification document), the birth certificate (for children), and a referral from the specialist indicating the required procedure.
For adults, a chest X-ray can be performed without a doctor’s referral, but an appointment is required in advance. For children, a doctor’s referral is required for any X-ray examination.
At Invitro, X-ray results are provided with a written report and on film.
EEG results for the standard 20-minute protocol are issued within 2 business days. EEG monitoring services of 1 hour, 2 hours, and 4 hours are completed within 5–7 business days.
No specific preparation is required for an EEG; it is only recommended to have clean hair on the day of the test.
Endoscopy with anesthesia allows for a more effective and detailed examination. Under anesthesia, the patient is asleep and relaxed, with no spasms or gagging/vomiting reflex, so the specialist has all the time needed for a thorough and comprehensive assessment.
After the procedure, recovery from anesthesia varies from person to person. Usually, it is quick and smooth and takes about 30 minutes to one hour.
Endoscopy can be performed from the age of 16.
Holter fitting is available at two branches:
Chișinău, Albișoara St. 64/2
Bălți, Decebal St. 126
For more details about Holter services, please contact our Call Center.
A Holter monitor can be fitted from the age of 16.
The Holter results can be collected the next day after it is removed.
Spirometry can be performed from the age of 5. For spirometry with a bronchodilator test, a doctor’s referral/indication is required.
The spirometry result is issued immediately.
The follow-up consultation is carried out within 10 business days after the initial visit.
A teleconsultation with a doctor can be arranged both through your personal account and via the Call Center. Payment must be made in advance.
