Pediatric allergy screening
Pediatric allergy screening is a laboratory investigation designed to detect increased sensitivity of a child’s body to food and inhalant allergens. It helps identify allergic reactions and serves as the first step in diagnosis. The package also includes tests to assess digestive system function (stool analysis/coprogram), as digestive disorders and hidden food intolerances can amplify allergic reactions and affect the immune system. This allows the physician to perform a comprehensive assessment of the child’s condition and provide personalized recommendations.
Indications
- frequent skin reactions (rash, itching, hives)
- runny nose, sneezing, itching, or tearing
- cough or difficulty breathing without an obvious cause
- bloating, abdominal pain, or stool disturbances after eating
- suspected food or respiratory allergy

Procedure / Duration
The test includes:
- venous blood sampling for complete blood count, total IgE, and erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR)
- stool sample collection for coprogram
- laboratory testing of the pediatric allergen panel (31)
Procedure duration: 5–10 minutes. Results are usually ready within a few days.
Contraindications
There are no absolute contraindications. Relative: acute infectious diseases, severe general condition (at the physician’s discretion).
