Conference “Rare Disease Day 2026” – Voicing Rare Diseases Through the Patients’ Perspective

🗓️ On February 27^th, Rare Disease Day is marked in the Republic of Moldova – an occasion to highlight patients’ needs and the importance of equitable access to diagnosis and treatment.

Our team participated in the 11th National Conference with international participation “Rare Disease Day 2026”, held at the Mother and Child Institute. This year’s theme – “Voicing Rare Diseases Through the Patients’ Perspective” – emphasized the need for a patient-centered approach and strengthened collaboration between specialists, authorities, and patient organizations.

In the Republic of Moldova, approximately 2,500 patients are registered with rare diseases, more than half of them being children.

We reaffirm our commitment to supporting early diagnosis, high-performance investigations, and interdisciplinary partnerships. We continue to contribute to improving the quality of life of people affected by rare diseases 🤍
