The extended ANA IgG autoantibody profile (Microblot) is a complex, highly specific laboratory test designed to detect a wide range of autoantibodies directed against nuclear, cytoplasmic, and organ-specific antigens.

The panel includes markers associated with systemic connective tissue diseases, inflammatory myopathies, systemic sclerosis, systemic lupus erythematosus, Sjögren’s syndrome, overlap autoimmune syndromes, as well as other immune-mediated inflammatory conditions.

The Microblot method enables simultaneous detection of multiple clinically relevant autoantibodies with high sensitivity and specificity, making it a valuable tool for early diagnosis, confirmation, and differential diagnosis of complex autoimmune diseases.

Clinical significance
Detected autoantibodies may be associated with systemic lupus erythematosus, Sjögren’s syndrome, systemic sclerosis, dermatomyositis, polymyositis, antisynthetase syndrome, autoimmune myopathies, and overlap syndromes.

Indications

  • suspicion of systemic autoimmune diseases
  • chronic muscle and joint pain
  • muscle weakness
  • skin manifestations (rash, photosensitivity, skin thickening)
  • Raynaud phenomenon
  • dry eyes and mucous membranes
  • systemic fatigue, low-grade fever
  • positive or unclear ANA screening
  • clarification of autoimmune diagnosis
  • suspicion of inflammatory myopathies and connective tissue diseases

Advantages

  • extended assessment of autoimmune profile
  • simultaneous detection of multiple clinically relevant autoantibodies
  • high sensitivity and specificity
  • early detection of systemic autoimmune diseases
  • useful for differential diagnosis of complex autoimmune and overlap syndromes
  • detailed characterization of immune response

Method
Immunoblot (Microblot) - a multiplex assay for detection of IgG autoantibodies against a broad panel of antigens with high diagnostic accuracy.
