Preparation:
Inform your doctor about all the diseases you suffer from and about the treatments you are taking. Advise if you are taking anticoagulants or antiplatelet agents (eg aspirin, warfarin, clopidogrel) as these may increase the risk of bleeding. Your doctor will tell you if and when they should be stopped. No special dietary preparation is required – you can eat and drink normally, unless your doctor advises otherwise. Present the results of previous investigations (thyroid ultrasound, hormone tests, medical reports).
