Nechiporenko test

125.00 MDL

We remind you that independent interpretation of the results is unacceptable, the information provided below is for reference purposes only.

The Nechiporenko urine test is a laboratory method used for the quantitative assessment of formed elements in urine, including leukocytes, erythrocytes, and casts. This method helps detect hidden inflammatory processes and evaluate the condition of the urinary system, including the kidneys and urinary tract.

Indications

  • suspected inflammatory diseases of the kidneys and urinary tract
  • pain or discomfort during urination
  • changes in urine color or clarity
  • elevated leukocyte or erythrocyte levels in a general urine test
  • monitoring the effectiveness of treatment for urinary system diseases
  • chronic kidney diseases
  • preventive examination in the presence of urological symptoms

Procedure

The test requires a midstream sample of the first morning urine collected in a sterile container. In the laboratory, the number of leukocytes, erythrocytes, and casts per 1 ml of urine is determined using a specialized testing method.

Interpretation of results

An increased leukocyte count may indicate inflammation, elevated erythrocytes may suggest tissue damage within the urinary system, and the presence of casts helps assess kidney condition and the nature of the pathological process. Result interpretation should be performed by a physician in correlation with clinical findings and other investigations.
