Preparation:
Consultations and investigations: Preoperative ENT consultation (with nasal endoscopy). Current paranasal sinus CT (not older than 3 months). Anticoagulant and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (aspirin, ibuprofen, diclofenac, etc. ) are stopped 7 days before the intervention, only with the consent of the attending physician. Chronic medication (for hypertension, diabetes, etc. ) is continued as indicated by the anesthesiologist. In some cases, the ENT doctor may recommend preoperative cortisone treatment (to reduce inflammation and the risk of bleeding). On the day of the operation: Complete fasting (do not eat or drink anything 8 hours before the operation). Shower the morning of the procedure, without applying make-up, perfume or face cream. Bring your medical records, tests and CT imaging.
