Examen ecografic în tr. I de sarcina gemelară (11-14 sa.) morfologie, screening
The ultrasound examination is a highly valuable diagnostic tool that can be performed multiple times during pregnancy and is considered a non-invasive method for the human body. An ultrasound provides a moving image of the fetus, offering parents the opportunity to see their baby.
During this ultrasound, the doctor checks whether the embryo has properly implanted in the uterus. It also assesses the gestational age and estimated date of conception, making it possible to calculate the expected due date.
Additionally, nuchal translucency is obligatorily evaluated during this examination. This test helps the physician determine whether the fetus is at risk for Down syndrome or other conditions caused by chromosomal abnormalities.
