Pregătirea:
24 hours before, eat a light, balanced diet. Avoid fatty foods, fried foods, alcohol and caffeine. On the day of the procedure it is recommended that you come without eating for at least 3–4 hours, but not completely on an empty stomach – you can have a light breakfast (eg a fruit, plain crackers, low-fat yogurt). Drink enough water the day before and the morning of the procedure — at least 1–1. 5 liters. Good hydration improves plasma quality and facilitates blood collection. Avoid nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) (eg Ibuprofen, Aspirin, Diclofenac) 3 days before, as they can reduce the effectiveness of platelets. If you are on chronic treatments, do not stop the medication without your doctor's approval. Tell your doctor about anticoagulants or other drugs that affect clotting. The procedure is not performed if you have a fever, active infection, acute inflammation or heavy menstruation (for women). Get good rest the night before the procedure.
