Radiocauterization of verrucous lesions in the inguinal area is a minimally invasive procedure used for the removal of wart-like skin lesions located in the groin area using radiofrequency energy.

The method allows precise removal of lesions with minimal impact on surrounding healthy tissues and effective bleeding control. The procedure helps improve local comfort and skin appearance with a short recovery period.

Indications

  • verrucous lesions located in the inguinal area;
  • lesions that increase in size or change over time;
  • lesions frequently traumatized by friction from clothing;
  • local discomfort, irritation, or itching;
  • removal of lesions for aesthetic reasons;
  • recommendation of a dermatologist.

Procedure / Duration

The procedure is performed by a dermatologist on an outpatient basis.

After evaluation of the lesion and preparation of the treatment area, radiocauterization is performed using a special electrode that applies radiofrequency energy for controlled removal of the lesion and simultaneous tissue coagulation.

Depending on the size and number of lesions, the procedure takes approximately 10–20 minutes.

Contraindications

The procedure is not recommended in the following situations:

  • active infections or inflammatory conditions in the treatment area;
  • suspicion of a malignant lesion without prior dermatological evaluation;
  • severe blood clotting disorders;
  • medical conditions that contraindicate minimally invasive dermatological procedures.

Recovery / Restrictions

Healing usually occurs within 7–14 days, depending on the size and location of the lesion.

Patients are advised to maintain hygiene of the treated area, avoid traumatizing the formed crust, wear comfortable underwear, and avoid factors that may irritate the treated area until complete healing.

Benefits

  • precise removal of verrucous lesions;
  • minimal damage to healthy tissues;
  • effective bleeding control;
  • quick and safe procedure;
  • short recovery period;
  • improved local comfort and skin appearance.

Preparation:

No special preparation is required.

A dermatological consultation is recommended before the procedure to evaluate the lesion, determine the indication, and exclude changes requiring further investigation.
