Preparation:
It is not necessary to fast, but a light meal before the procedure is recommended. Drink enough water on the day of treatment (at least 1–1. 5 liters). Avoid alcohol, excess coffee and smoking 24 hours before, as they can increase the risk of bruising and skin dehydration. 3–5 days before, avoid medicines that can thin the blood or influence coagulation: non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (eg ibuprofen, aspirin, diclofenac); anticoagulants or supplements with a similar effect (omega-3, ginkgo biloba, vitamin E). On the day of the procedure, clean your face well (no make-up, cream, foundation or other cosmetics). Do not have chemical peels, laser treatments, microdermabrasion or facial hair removal in the last 3–5 days. Avoid exposure to the sun and tanning beds. Do not perform the procedure if you have active infections (herpes, inflamed acne, cold, fever) or if you are on antibiotic treatment. Inform the doctor about known allergies, drug treatments and recent cosmetic procedures.
