Women’s Laser Hair Removal - Buttocks

Laser hair removal of the buttocks area is a modern procedure aimed at reducing unwanted hair growth in the buttocks and intergluteal area. The procedure is performed using the Alexandrite DEKA Again Pro Plus laser (755 nm) and the Zimmer Cryo air cooling system, ensuring precise targeting of hair follicles and comfort during treatment.

Hair growth in the buttocks area may be influenced by individual characteristics and hormonal factors. The 755 nm Alexandrite laser effectively targets pigmented hair, providing gradual reduction and improving the appearance of the skin.

Indications

  • unwanted hair in the buttocks area;
  • tendency to irritation after shaving or depilation;
  • ingrown hairs;
  • hypertrichosis.

Procedure

  • assessment of skin phototype and hair characteristics;
  • individual selection of laser parameters;
  • treatment of the buttocks area;
  • skin cooling with the Zimmer Cryo system during the procedure;
  • application of a soothing product after the procedure.

Intervals between sessions

  • recommended interval - 6–8 weeks;
  • as hair growth decreases, the interval may be extended to 8–10 weeks;
  • intervals may be adjusted individually;
  • on average, 6–10 sessions are required;
  • maintenance sessions are performed as needed.

Contraindications

  • pregnancy (relative contraindication);
  • active skin infections;
  • inflammation or skin damage in the treatment area;
  • recent sun exposure or self-tanning;
  • photosensitivity (including medication-induced);
  • suspicious pigmented lesions;
  • skin cancer in the treatment area;
  • tendency to keloid scarring;
  • decompensated chronic diseases;
  • epilepsy (especially photosensitive form);
  • systemic retinoid use (as advised by a physician);
  • diabetes in decompensated stage.

Aftercare

Normal reactions:

  • redness for 1–2 days;
  • mild sensitivity or slight swelling up to 24 hours.

Recommendations:

  • cool the skin if needed;
  • use soothing and moisturizing products;
  • avoid hot water for 24 hours;
  • avoid acids and retinoids for 2–3 days;
  • avoid trauma to the treated area;
  • use SPF 50 daily on exposed skin areas;
  • avoid sun exposure and tanning beds for at least 2 weeks.

Treated hairs gradually shed within 1–2 weeks. If needed, gentle trimming with a trimmer is allowed starting from day 3, provided there is no irritation.

In case of severe reactions (strong pain, blisters, burns, signs of infection), medical consultation is required.

Preparation:

  • avoid sun exposure and tanning beds for 3–6 weeks before the procedure;
  • avoid hair removal methods that remove the hair root (waxing, sugaring, epilator, tweezers) for at least 6–8 weeks before the procedure;
  • shaving is allowed 24–48 hours before the procedure;
  • avoid aggressive skincare products, acids, and retinoids for 48 hours before the procedure;
  • arrive with clean skin, free of cosmetic products;
  • inform the specialist about any medications you are taking.
