A follow-up consultation with a pediatric rheumatologist is a control visit for children or adolescents with previously diagnosed rheumatologic conditions or under ongoing medical supervision. The purpose is to assess disease progression, treatment effectiveness, and adjust therapy if necessary.
Indications

- appearance of new symptoms or clinical worsening
- review of laboratory and imaging results

Procedure
- assessment of clinical progression since the last visit
- control rheumatologic examination
- review of recent investigations
- evaluation of treatment response
- adjustment of therapy if required
- recommendation of additional investigations if needed
- planning of further follow-up
Preparation:
- presentation of medical documents and results since the previous consultation
- list of current medications and treatment responses
- description of symptom progression
- results of any new investigations
